Radio Errols.com Listening guide
Windows Users : Should have no difficulty viewing the site with Internet Explorer or Firefox. The programmes are designed to be streamed over a dialup, or low-speed broadband internet connection. IE users will see an embedded media player which can be used to listen online, users with other browsers will see a download link. Click the play button to begin the streaming audio. If your browser does not suuport activeX components the media player will not be available, however, just click the download link and the programme can be downloaded to you computer for offline listening. The programmes are encoded as wma files so your local media player can be used for streaming audio too. To set your local Windows Media Player to play the audio stream without having to wait for it to download completely, follow these simple instructions. Select Options from the Tools menu, select the File Types tab and ensure that wma files are selected. (Of course if you 'select all', all media types will be progressively downloaded and played). Select OK.

Interactive Help : Radio Errols Interactive makes extensive use of Flash and Java. Please ensure you have both plug-ins installed.
Q: I can see the Java Jukebox but the buttons don't work. Whats the problem?

A: The Java Jukebox requires at least Java version 1.3 . Older versions display the jukebox but the buttons don't work. Upgrade your plugin from www.sun.com or www.java.com .

Q: I am prompted to dowload something from the interactive and tune in pages. Is it safe?

A: Yes, its safe. It is either a Java or Flash plug in. The embedded component within the webpage needs to install files to display it. Most (Windows) computers are already fully enabled to display them, however, if you need to install something check that it is signed by Sun (for Java), Macromedia (for flash), or Microsoft.

Tips for downloading large files

Use a download utility for downloading large audio or video files from the web. FlashGet is a free download utility that can help increase download speeds by downloading multiple sections of a large file at the same time. It also permits pausing a download and resuming a broken download.
